ABOUT BRUCE

Bruce Hitchen has over 30 years experience in corporate communications, video, multimedia, and event production. Bruce is currently working as a freelance producer of video and multimedia projects for corporate clients and event production companies. Previously Bruce was VP of Marketing and Client Services at AV Strategies Ltd. and was responsible for marketing, brand, and delivering video, multimedia and value added services to corporate clients. Prior to joining AV Strategies, Bruce was the founder and President of Direct Impact Media, a video and multimedia production company based in Burnaby, BC.

Bruce spent much of his career at TELUS, in a variety of Corporate Communications positions spanning 19 years. He successfully grew TELUS’ Media Solutions department to become the largest in-house corporate production group in Western Canada. Bruce was the visionary behind teamVision, TELUS’ weekly streaming video newscast for employees. He has been recognized by IABC (International Association of Business Communicators) with two Gold Quill Awards for his highly innovative communications work and he has received awards for event management, video and multimedia production.
Bruce began Direct Impact Media in 2006 to serve production companies and corporate clients in helping achieve their communications goals. He has served as a field producer for CNBC and CNW Group (Canada Newswire) and was a regular segment producer for BTV: Business Television, a weekly business television show that features emerging publicly traded companies. Bruce’s corporate communications background along with his video production, multimedia, and event expertise make him the perfect fit for any organization looking to enhance their communications with video, multimedia, and event solutions.
